I joined NPPA the other day and have been trying to soak up as much info as possible. I’ve been looking at joining some other organizations, but that means more money.
On the money side of things. I’m looking at getting a 24-70mm f/2.8 so thats a grand or so that would come out of my wallet. I guess thats how starting in photography is. Always can get more and better equipment. I would like a lensbaby, a 300 f/4, a 24-70mm f/2.8, a new wide angle lens a 1D body… But I don’t have the 7 grand to get that all.
But I do really need to replace my Tamron 28-75mm. It should be a workhorse lens, but I leave it in my bag more often than I should.
A few days ago I shot a basketball game. It was mostly a poor shoot. The baseline at the gym is almost non existent so I don’t get the angle I so dearly love, but here is one of the few shots I liked.
On Christmas I get to shoot a should be exciting event. It’s a candle lit church thats also not heated. I’m excited about the lighting and whatnot.
